06/12/2007, played at Eaton Parish Hall.
Gothic B drew with Hellesdon 5-5.
A brilliant maximum from Francis Webb earned Hellesdon a deserved draw against a very strong Gothic B. Mel Humphries just pipped Paul Pegg in a hard hitting encounter that was of the highest calibre. A sporting match with plenty of incident and humour.

Another sporting evening with Scorpions overcoming Gothic thanks to Eric Thornton and Janet Kelly maximums. 2 solid singles victories for Steve Andrews.

As expected, a sporting match, just shaded by Scorpions, although it has to be said they won by a mile on nets and edges. Fina maximum by David Parker, also well backed by Janet Kelly who is back to her best at last.

CEYMS C lost to Gothic A 4-6.
CEYMS C salvaged one point, after recovering from 6-1 down. Confidence boasting win for Steve Pendle over Paul Durrant, but a deserved victory for the Colman Road boys.

Foxwood C lost to Gothic C 3-7.
Gothic secured a valuable win over a Foxwood team that never recovered from a poor start.Star of the evening was Alan Hough who produced some scintilating topspin shots to inflict a rare defeat on Adam Smith.

Gothic D drew with Holburn 5-5.
2 very welcome points in a good game where at one stage Gothic were 4-2 up and then 4-5 down. Brian Haystead winning the crucial last singles against Katie. It was good to meet up again with Ashleigh and nice to see she still enjoys her TT. (Brian H)

Norfolk County Council B beat CEYMS E 8-2.
NCC recorded an 8-2 victory over luckless CEYMS who could only muster one victory out of six games that went the full distance.

Sands B lost to Taverham B 3-7.
Peter Read played very well and was unlucky not to pick up more than one game. 6 games went to the 5th Set with Sands only winning one of them. Andrew Parker played well for the visitors but this was a poor result for Sands.

Ex-Choristers B lost to Millermen 4-6.
Highlight of the evening was Reg Barber's first win of the season, beating Norman Craik 3-2 in the last game of the night.

Fairfield Scorpions A lost to Wensum A 2-8.
Wensum too strong for Scorpions, with a squad capable of winning the title. After an abysmal four weeks Eric Thornton went back to old bat and proceeded to beat the highly rated Lindsay Dare.

An excellent match with some very competative games. No power Hendo sufferred defeat against in form Paul Brown & Hilary Howlett the only successes for CEYMS B despite nearly salvaging a point in a very close doubles match.

Briston B lost to Sands A 4-6.
Another fighting display from Briston B despite being bottom they are asking questions of all players in the Premier league. Paul Warner's 5 set win over Ian Brown is worthy of note. Sean Molloy was the saviour for Sands with 3 singles wins, ably supported by a brace from Ian Brown.

United Norwich Hospitals B beat Fairfield Scorpions A 9-1.
Great hitting from Jamie Leeder saved Scorpions from a whitewash. Closest game between Brian Cunningham and Eric Thornton with Brian fighting back from 8-10 down in the fifth to win the next four points and the game.

Sands B beat Firstline Factors 6-4.
Some very close games see Sands win 6-4 after taking the doubles in the fifth leg.A first maximum of the season for Phil Clarke including a 3-0 win over Peter Wright and a 11-0 win in one leg over Alan Walpole.Peter Read's three games all went to five sets and was unlucky not to pick up a win.

Wensum D beat UEA C 7-3.
A close match played in great spirit. The ever improving Daniel Akkins and Charlie Sadd both played superbly for their maximums. Andrew Latham showed glimpses of his class but los loth games narrowly. Thanks to the UEA side who played really well and were a credit to their club. Jason Evans

Shelly Telly lost to Newton Flotman C 4-6.
A marathon match in which everyone played really well. There were some fantastic rallies and thrilling points. Jenkinson and Hicks proved to be a formidable doubles partmership and Michelle Savage won a fast and furious game against Emma Williams. Maximums from Alison Powley and Claire Williams. A great time was had by all.

Shelly Telly lost to Tankards 2-8.
Gordon Logsdon exuded maximum charm to win all his games. Whilst Shelly Telly are struggling to get points, everyone in the team is improving and Colin Jenkinson maintains his position as the player with the best average in the division.

UEA A drew with Electricity 5-5.
A very close match tahat ebded in a draw after won yet another 5 set doubles. Electricity's Ray Paggett had two other 5 set games, triumphing in one but losing to Sandeep in the other. Sandeep played despite being in bed all week with flu - great committment!

Steve Johnson & Kevin Garner maximums earned CEYMS a narrow victory over Remploy for whom Barry Blanch also secured a maximum.

United Norwich Hospitals A beat Panthers 6-4.
Hospitals cruised to a victory over a Panthers side who had Peter Mathieson in maximum form. With little help from his colleagues Peter could not save the side on his own.

Millermen were 1 man short due to injury to Norman Craik. They put up a good fight to claim a draw with a good performance from Phil Baker.

A closely contested match. Maximums for Eastons Neil Baxter and Adrian Smith in the singles and pairing up to win the doubles. Well played Bristons Colin Smith losing to Neil Baxter and Adrian Smith in five sets and winning a singles.

In an excellent match a draw was the correct result. Phil Logsdon again showed his outstanding attacking skills to take his 3 singles. He was ably supported by yours truely with a brace, with close wins over Matts & Russell.

Taverham A maintained their title challenge in a very tight match, winning 7-3 against Briston A. Lauren Spink again took a maximum but was took to a 12-10 decider against Robin Thaxter. New signing John Monk is proving a good signing with 3 good singles wins.

Dan Gigli played very well to win all his singles 3-0. However Briston B snatched a point by winning a very close doubles 14-12 in the fifth.

Norfolk County Council A beat CEYMS B 8-2.
Despite a brace from Paul Brown over Kevin Gray & Rod Hamilton NCC A overall strength proved to much for CEYMS B. Martin Gray was in impressive form again winning all his games 3-0 including the doubles with brother Kevin. Rod Hamilton continues to improve with 2 good wins.

Foxwood A strenghted their lead in Premier A with an impressive 10-0 win over Gothic A. Alan Jones played very well losing 2 of his games close in the fifth set as did Paul Durrent. The 10-0 score did not reflect the closeness of the match.

Another close match in Premier B with no player getting a maximum. Joe Taplin, drafted in from the B side could not do enough to help the C team over the winning line. Neville Beckett and Phil Clarke playing well for Sands.
